Energy saving magnetizer.
Genius magnetizer responds to the increasing demand of saving the energy while increasing the productivity. The today’s use of the rare earth magnets requires an increased energy necessary for their saturation, while in the past, an energy of only 1000 Ws was necessary for the magnetization of alnico magnets. Now, magnetizers energy values of 200000 Ws are often required for magnetization of rare earth-type magnets.
Magnetizing coils have evolved in a similar manner, with designs becoming more and more complex and efficient. In fact, these magnetizing coils operate with and elevated current density and short impulse of magnetization. By carefully matching the magnet material to the coil itself, high rates of productivity are achieved. With LE’s most advanced magnetizers designs, the magnetization impulse wave form is no longer aperiodical, but sinusoidal. The sinusoidal impulse is obtained by means of an oscillation damped RLC. In fact, the sinusoidal magnetization impulse has major advantages compared to the aperiodical magnetization impulse. It allows a decrease in the energy supplied to the magnetizing coil while maintaining the required current peak and based on LE’s actual experience it is possible to recover typically from 40% to 80% of the energy dissipated in traditional short design magnetizers.
